Well, hello!
Hey everyone. Gosh I need to make a different Journal.
It's been quite a while since I have posted in this. Also I haven't gotten to see hardly any of you in so long it seems. Sorry.
Life has been pretty good. Pretty busy.
We went in the studio and recorded 11 songs. I can't wait until you all can hear this stuff. I am very proud of it. So even if you don't like it, I still do. Look for it on Purevolume, hxcmp3 etc. very soon. I'll let you know. (We still have to mix and master it.) No name for the disc yet, though "The Flying Guillotine" is ringing nicely in my ears. We are thinking the release will be sometime in June or July, though no date has been set yet. We will not be rushing this one, thank god.
We still haven't started booking much, because, well, we have just been really busy. Though a little on the poor side. This winter has been rough on our vehicles, as well as on our wallets. We haven't been working barely at all, though that should change very shortly here as work is lining up for at least the next 4 months. Yes! Soon we will be able to get merch etc., then start booking like mad. If things work out right, we should start playing again regularly at the end of this month. Cross your fingers!
We have a temporary site up at www.onthefrontlines.net
We will be keeping the domain name, but the page that is up will only be to hold over until Drew and Adam from SYNT can take some time from their busy schedules to help us with our site. Thanks very much to them. Love those guys.
Lydia has grown so much even since I last posted. I swear that child will be able to rock the mic within a year. She is crazy! I love her so much. She is always yelling, "Daaaeeee Daaaeee!!!" Or daddy if ya couldn't make that out.
Alana and I have been doing good as well. I believe that we will be moving out soon, within 4 months or so.
I have been at work acquiring my diploma as well. I should have it by the end of April. Oh and I started a side project. No name yet. It's fun stuff.
In other news... I have been watching lots of anime and kung fu movies, and playing Resident Evil 4 and some Final Fantasy, some star ocean. I read the wu-tang clan book by the RZA, and it was good. In case anyone was wondering, our new music is a lot faster and heavier. Some songs are really grindy. Some songs have lots of two-stepping. Lots of them have lots of thrash thrown in. Breakdowns have been toned down a bunch. They are definitely still there, just a lot heavier, but with less frequency and better placement structurally speaking.
So, again, I am sorry for not being around at shows or anything. I have been to a couple MT. P shows. I plan on attending the Summer Dying Show tomorrow. I have enjoyed getting to spend a lot more time with Alana, Lydia, and the rest of my family. But I have missed everyone as well. Someone could call every once in a while or something!
Well... I hope to see you soon!

Lydia's Pics!

The two angel pictures were of her when she was nine months old,
then the other two were of her when she was eight months old.
Jimmy's scanner must have had some dust on it or something, because there is some little spots I noticed that aren't on the pictures themselves. Sorry about that.
Oh and by the way, Lydia's first birthday is on Jan. 29th!
Which also happens to be the same day as the TMK Records B-day show as well. So I regretfully cannot attend that show :(
Buhbye!
Yeah Buddy
I took this quiz, and I am a Liger from Napolean Dynamite. I am awesome. But I can't get it to work on here, so I am just telling you!
So anyways...
Our last show as Tornado Parade will be on January 22nd at the Wesley Foundation in Mt. Pleasant. Please come. It will be awesome. I don't know the details yet, but mark that day on your calendar.
After that, we will be on a break until sometime in April-May. During the break we will be recording, gathering merch and the such.
Our New name will be.......... On the Frontlines
Dun Dun Dun!!!!! Yes, we have decided upon it.
Yay!
Also, soon I will be creating a new Journal.
And I swear that the Lydia pics will be up, hopefully tomorrow!
Spread the word about the 22nd show!!!

Happy Christmas Eve!
I feel better now. My shopping is done.
I got my dance on tuesday night for Drop the Gloves. It was a good time.
I like to dance when it is only with friends. Otherwise I just like to watch the bands. Because I don't like getting punched by some fucking asshole who I don't know who thinks he/she is tough.
Christmas with my dad's side of the family tonight.
Then tomorrow morning with Alana's family, then tomorrow afternoon with my immediate family. I want presents heehee!
But hey ya'll... here's something for you to chew on:
You should come to our next few shows, because they will be Tornado Parade's last. The 30th at Jamestowne, New Years at Redeeming Love Church, and then an as of yet unknown date in January which will be our last show. More Details to come! (Don't be sad though. Good news is coming with this...)
So I leave you with that, and Merry Christmas!
P.S. I will post Lydia pics very soon!

Brrrrrrrrr!
This cold weather fucking sucks.
My car won't start.
Our van is pretty much dead.
The lock to where we practice is frozen, and I don't want to have to break it just to get to my amp, which is probably now frozen and will sound terrible/break.
I am broke.
This is my least favorite time of year. I fucking hate it.
Cold. Broke because of Christmas. Sick. Everyone gets in bad moods because of the former three things. Cars don't start. Brrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!
I am actually in a decent mood though, considering.
Recently I have had lots of anger built up in me. I don't know why really. Probably just because I am busy and broke and cold. I haven't been letting it out on anyone. Don't worry. I get to let it out when we play shows and I yell. Heehee.
Everyone. Come to Jamestowne tomorrow. I want this show to go well and be happy for some reason.
Come early because our slot is early (We hopped on the show quite late), and now there are slot time conflictions I hear. I would love to see you all come and dance around because it's cold. Dance and be warm.
Sorry for rambling a lil. It's cold.

Hey baby.
Show last night in the nasty was fun. Good friends. 4 bands. That is the way it should be. Only with a lot more people there.
But anyways, show tonight in Flint will be fun. More Burning Cities. Yes!
Last night Derek from Amateur Murder was telling me about he and Pat's next project coming up (not Regurgitated Fetus, but a new one). It sounds totally awesome. I want to here it.
Mitch! We named our EP "The Stimulus Has Control." Any Ideas?
I have two shirt Ideas that I think that you will like.
I shall tell you soon...
Lydia is awesomely cute. I finally got her pictures in of her in an Angel outfit, and her hands are clasped together like she is praying. It is sooooooooooooo cute. I will post them sometime next week (Jimmy has a working scanner).
Christmas is stressful as all hell (and to think...)
I wish it would be more about what it is supposed to be about, and that is Jesus' birthday, not everyone buying presents for everyone damnit. I mean it is fun, but gosh darnit I am so broke now and I still have 2,873,464,734,061.2 people left to buy for. That's two trillion, eight hundred seventy-three billion, four hundred sixty-four million, seven hundred thirty-four thousand, sixty-one-point-two people left. I will probably give a few people a picture of Lydia in a cute frame. Yes that sounds nice.
Also, I just found out that the draft thing I talked about in my last post was already voted out, so it's all good. Sorry about scaring everyone who didn't know. But at least it's not happening!!!!
Shaun of the Dead is out on the 21st. The greatest movie ever! Yes!!!!!
Yup.
Ok.
Alright then. I'm out.
Thanks for reading.

Guess what is QUIETLY being put through the House and Senate - a DRAFT starting 2005. If you are against this, you better pass this on IMMEDIATELY. I was not aware of this until I received this today.
Mandatory draft for boys and girls (ages 18-26) starting June 15, 2005, is something that everyone should know about. This literally effects everyone since we all have or know children that will have to go if this bill passes. There is pending legislation in the house and senate (companion bills: S89 and HR 163) which will time the program's initiation so the draft can begin as early as spring, 2005, just after the 2004 presidential election. The administration is quietly trying to get these bills passed now, while the public's attention is on the elections, so our action on this is needed immediately. Details and links follow. This plan, among other things, eliminates higher education as a shelter and includes women in the draft. Also, crossing into Canada has already been made very difficult.Actions
Please send this on to all the parents and teachers you know, and all the aunts and uncles, grandparents, godparents. . . And let your children know - - it's their future, and they can be a powerful voice for change! This legislation is called HR 163 and can be found in detail at the following website: http://Thomas.loc.gov/ Just enter in "HR 163"and click search and will bring up the bill for you to read. It is less than two pages long. If this bill passes, it will include all men and ALL WOMEN from ages 18-26 in a draft for military action. In addition, college will no longer be an option for avoiding the draft and they will be signing an agreement with the Canada which will no longer permit anyone attempting to dodge the draft to stay within it's borders. This bill also includes the extension of military service for all those that are currently active. If you go to the select service web site and read their 2004 FYI
Goals you will see that the reasoning for this is to increase the size of the military in case of terrorism. This is a critical piece of legislation, this will effect our undergraduates, our children and our grandchildren. Please take the time to write your congressman and let them know how you feel about this legislation.
www.house.gov www.senate.gov
Please also write to your representatives and ask them why they aren't telling their constituents about these bills and write to newspapers and other media outlets to ask them why they're not covering this important story. The draft $28 million has been added to the 2004 selective service system budget to prepare for a military draft that could start as early as June 15, 2005. Selective service must report to Bush on March 31, 2005 that the system, which has lain dormant for decades, is ready for activation. Please see www.sss.gov/perfplan_fy2004.html to view the Selective Service System annual performance plan, fiscal year 2004. The pentagon has quietly begun a public campaign to fill all 10,350 draft board positions and 11,070 appeals board slots nationwide. Though this is an unpopular election year topic, military experts and influential members of congress are suggesting that if Rumsfeld's prediction of a "long, hard slog" in Iraq and Afghanistan (and permanent state of war on terrorism) proves accurate, the U.S. may have no choice but to draft.
www.hslda.org/legislation/national/2003/s89/default.asp
Entitled the Universal National service Act of 2003, "to provide for the common defense by requiring that all young persons (age 18-26) in the United States, including women, perform a period of military service or a period of civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, and for other purposes." These active bills currently sit in the committee on armed services. Dodging the draft will be more difficult than those from the Vietnam era. College and Canada will not be options.
In December 2001, Canada and the U.S. signed a "smart border declaration," which could be used to keep would-be draft dodgers in. Signed by Canada's minister of foreign affairs, John Manley, and U.S. Homeland Security director, Tom Ridge, the declaration involves a 30 point plan which implements, among other things, a "pre-clearance agreement" of people entering and departing each country. Reforms aimed at making the draft more equitable along gender and class lines also eliminates higher education as a shelter. Underclassmen would only be able to postpone service until the end of their current semester. Seniors would have until the end of the academic year. What to do: Tell your friends, Contact your legislators and ask them to oppose these bills Just type "congress" into the aol search engine and input your zip code. A list of your reps will pop up with a way to email them directly.
We cannot just sit and pretend that by ignoring it, it will go away. We must voice our concerns and create the world we want to live in for our children and grandchildren.
Anyways, in news about me. It's cold. My power was out yesterday for a while.
I am really happy with our new material.
I am broke right now and I need to do lots more christmas shopping. Damnit!
Work is coming though :)
Work tomorrow. Then family time.
Mall saturday with Alana. Then family time.
Halo tournament at Jake's on sunday.
Then Xenosaga time.

Sleepy.
Sky Room. Fat bouncer. Fighting. Stupid.
We didn't get to play. It happens.
Good to see friends as always though. Everyone got haircuts (me included).
I wish that I could've gone to the Summer Dying show. Oh well. I am sure that I will see them again at least once before they are gone.
I like video games.
Today my little new baby cousin brady will be here for a while. I will be watching him and lydia with my mother. Also my two nieces will be here. Children everywhere! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
We have 4 songs written for the EP, and are planning on writing one more. Should be done by the end of this week. Only problem is that I only have lyrics written for 2 of them. I am drawing blanks right now!
Writer's block = Stupid
Everyone should come to Jamestowne on December 10th, and the Flint Local on the 11th. Pleeeeease. To watch all of the bands!!! Including us. It'll be our first shows since *gasp* November 20th! (No thanks to Fat Bouncer guy last weekend.)
Aright well I'll be gone now. Much love.
Oh yes. One more thing. We are looking for someone who would like to draw us up some stuff. One shirt design, a couple pins, and some cd stuff (Cover, etc. of the EP). Artwork in the vein of... something cool.
If anyone is interested at all, just let me know. Will pay for service if requested.

Thanksgiving was good. I stuffed myself silly.
Lydia just ate a bunch of yummy stuff and now she is sleeping. At noon.
I wish that I had that power sometimes. To sleep. Whenever ya know?
So we are playing the skyroom in Bay City tonight with Ares Letum, Flesh and blood robot, and more. Should be cool.
It's cold and it really sucks.
Also I just found out that one of my old friends died on wednesday. Joe Nelson. He was one of the nicest guys I have ever known and it made me really sad to hear that. He got in a car accident because of the snow. Rolled his truck and the roof collapsed. That really sucks. Snow sucks.
Our purevolume site now has new MP3's up of songs from the full length. Check it out www.purevolume.com/tornadoparade
Aright well, I'm outie. Hope to see some of you tonight in Bay City!
