WE ARE...the reinforcements.

OOC PREFERENCES:
CONTACT METHOD: AIM or Plurk are fastest, PMs work if the first two don't.
THREAD-JACKING: Have at it!
FOURTH WALLING / CANON PUNCTURE: I'd prefer nobody comment on the fact that he's fictional, but they're more than welcome to draw any face-similarity connections they want, and he's from as far in his canon as he physically can be so canon-mates wouldn't be ruining anything by telling him the ending, particularly considering there are a grand total of two that outlive him.
BACKTAGGING: If it gets to be a month along I'd prefer to handwave, but anything less is fine. Things happen.
AVOIDED TOPICS: None I can think of, I'll do just about anything and if I'm not sure in the moment I'll say something.

IC CHARACTERISTICS:
CURRENT CANON POINT: After his death, when he 'splodes with Olduvai.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Sarge is a...big guy. 6'5", well over 200 pounds, and pretty much one big muscle. Being a military man he tends to project when he speaks, loud and deep as default, although he's got a surprisingly wide range and tends to first get quieter when he's angry, rather than louder; when he's approaching drill instructor levels of loud, it's already too late. In terms of dress, he sticks to simple and practical, dressing mostly in his issued attire (he's pretty much never off-duty even when he's supposed to be). He keeps his hair to code, shaves regularly, and is just as regimented about hygiene as he is about everything else. From a more personal perspective, he's got a giant tattoo that says "Semper Fi" in stylized lettering inked across his shoulders; the novelization also mentions several others extending across a fairly substantial surface area that act as reminders of various invasions he's been a part of (although it makes a point of mentioning not all of these 'invasions' were military in nature, and in fact a few of them are more reminders of particularly wild visits to local brothels than of the wars he went there to fight).
DEMEANOR: Sarge is a man who exists with a carefully constructed distance between him and the rest of the world; he's respectful and polite, if rough around the edges, abrasively brusque, brutally honest, and given to silence more than speech, projects competence and Alpha Male in just about everything he does. He's got pretty rigid posture which only really relaxes when he's either in his own quarters and feels comfortable around the other people in the room or physically cannot maintain it; he's the kind of guy who will actively try to stay on guard and alert even if he should really be passed out somewhere because there are Appearances To Maintain and he doesn't like coming across as weak.
ABILITIES: At baseline, Sarge's only ability is being a Really Good Marine. He's as strong as you would expect a man of his size and build to be, and as fast as you would expect. He's proficient with just about every weapon you could put in his hands as well as a few hand to hand combat disciplines, has enough basic medical training to competently manage a patient in the field, and is accomplished at managing and co-ordinating teams in military settings.

Except he also comes from the end of the movie, after he's been infected, which makes things a little different.

For the purposes of the game and his place in it, upon his arrival he'll be stripped of any enhancements gained from chromosome 24. Ordinarily it imbues the infected with superhuman speed, reflexes, strength, agility, and healing, but in his case it also brings with it a complete breakdown of morality and degeneration into your standard zombie drives of "kill and infect all the things" just with some added intelligence.

...honestly the movie can't seem to really decide if it wants to explain the monsters and how infection affects the host with science or religion and seems to try to tread the line between both, with varying levels of success; Reaper manages to get it under control and take advantage of only the good side effects because he's a "good person" in spite of all the things he's done with RRTS, while another member of the team, Goat, manages enough presence of mind and morality during the change to kill himself again to prevent it from taking full hold, a couple scientists go whole hog without stopping go, and Sarge manages to mostly hold it together until the end with only increasingly violent and morally questionable behavior until the actual change at the very end. In order to smooth over the kinks in the movie's explanation, and to put canon a little more in line with the original source canon, I'm going with the stricter interpretation of "chromosome 24 turns bad people into monsters and good people into supermen"; this also gives me something of an interesting litmus test to play with should a warden decide to have the chromosome re-unlocked, since it then makes the effects dependent upon how much progress Sarge has made in his rehabilitation.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Nothing in general; no health problems that need to be managed, no difficulties with the medical community that need to be accounted for or worked around. However, it's worth noting that even though he doesn't have access to chromosome 24 at the moment, it's still there and therefore kicking around in his bloodstream, with all the usual side effects -- someone comes in contact with his blood there's a distinct possibility they might get infected themselves, provided it gets into their bloodstream.
CABIN INFORMATION: The door is heavy and metal and reminiscent of something you'd find in a bunker, unmarked with the exception of a placard indicating it as the NCO's quarters and a peephole that's really a camera. Inside, they're pretty utilitarian quarters, just a catch-all room that serves as bedroom and office, including a standard issue cot and a desk with a computer, as well as a bookshelf filled mostly with manuals; protocol handbooks, procedure manuals, a collection of arms manuals, as well as a smaller selection of borrowed novels. There aren't many, if any, personal touches, it's impossible to get a read on the person who lives there because it's so nondescript; it's the main room from his quarters at Twentynine Palms, and about all being the NCO gets you is a separate room, it's not any more fancy than the rest of the base and Sarge isn't really into knickknacks.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: DON'T INSULT THE MARINES but even that's not really an actual "DON'T DO IT" so much as a "HE WILL TAKE IT VERY PERSONALLY".

IC PERMISSIONS:
MENTAL: Sure!
MIMICRY: Have at it
VIOLENCE: Wouldn't be surprised if it happened, and he'll probably spark it himself at least once.
MAGIC: Absolutely.
DEBATE: Don't see why not!
OTHER / NOTES: Nothing I can think of!
