There are 3 steps to the creative process: The Idea, The Turmoil, and The Polish

• The Idea is where you come up with your spark. It’s usually brief and flashy, but with little more sustainable for the journey.
• The Polish is what you use as your medium to put the final touches on your ideas. i.e. drawing, writing, animating, filming, etc.
• The Turmoil . . . Here’s where you age about 50 years and go gray, if you don’t pull out your hair before then. 😉 This is where the real work happens. This is where your worlds and stories come to life. It’s also, where you can lose your momentum and passion as you scramble to figure what the hell to do next. Or have it take longer than your inspiration stays lit.

That’s where 5WH/TOC/IIN/SPLARD comes in.

While it’s mostly related to storytelling and world building. It’s flexible enough to be used for essentially any multimedia formats outside of the stories/worlds you create.

This volume mostly focuses on the storytelling and world building aspect (the others need a little creativity to “finagle it to fit”).
