TORONTO INDIE

Welcome to the all new torontoindie!

This is a community for all that can be considered "independent" media in Toronto. Obviously, the focus is on music, with an emphasis on shows - past or future, artists, venues, music labels, zine fairs, and fundraisers. By "indie music" here we mean all that can be considered "independent", in addition to what's thought of as "indie-rock". Also feel free to post about independent magazines, movies or anything else you can think of. As long as posts stay on topic, we'll have no problems! If you post something irrelevant, your post will be deleted. We don't have a specific policy on directions, and sometimes we let these posts go if they are specific to a show that's happening or whatnot, however somewhere like toronto would be a much better place for those kinds of posts.

General rules to keep this place running smoothly:

1) Be respectful. No personal attacks on other members of the community. No oppressive language please, i.e. sexism, no racism, no classism, no homophobia, etc. If you do not comply, you will recieve one warning. From there you will be banned.

2) No spamming. No quizzes. No "I need friends" posts. No "I need a roomate!" posts. You can post about new bands, labels, shows, events, movies, magazines, etc. But no random unrelated junk. Community promos are okay as long as they're relevant to the topic.

3) You must keep comments enabled in your posts. Also, no one but the mods can delete comments in posts (you can delete yours for typos, but make sure to re-post... don't comment then run!)
