Writing from Cusco Day 1

After four hours at Logan due to a wonderful expected delay from American Airlines, barely making my connecting flight in Miami to Lima, where I met up with Stephen, landing in Lima at 4:30 AM 3 more hours at Lima, a slightly less delayed flight from Lima to Cusco and 15 hours later we´ve arrive.  We had a very nice taxi drive us to Loki our hostel where we found JB.

Cusco itself is at 12K elvation (or so i´m told),  very hilly.  The guys are slightly suffering, I´m okay thus far. The paths are made out of old worn down cobble (which I love when not in heels) and the streets are filled with stray dogs (but not as bad as Israel).

The street hagglers will try to sell you anything and follow you around for a good deal if you pay even a second attention to them.  This one dude trying to sell sunglasses found steve 3 blocks later after we walked away!  We almost thought about getting them just for the effort but then the hunger was a top priority.

The city is completely composed of tourism (not that I complain since I´m part of it).  They even had the second annual Tourism parade today!  It was fun, pictures will be added later.

After much exploring of armes in downtownish area, we found a destination that was filled with locals (or at least non japanese or white tourists).  Amazing Filet mignon de alpaca (probably the older brother of the baby I held and took a picture with during the parade earlier in the day).  Pisco Sours are amazing (at least until i found out its raw eggs, but i´ll live.

Until next time!

no opinion just thought it was interesting with all the talks of healthcare, tax increases and etc

Upper incomers continue to bear a record share of the income tax burden.

The top 1% of filers paid 40.4% of all federal income taxes, up from 39.9%

in the previous year, according to IRS data for 2007, the most recent year available.

Yet those taxpayers made just 22.8% of the total reported adjusted gross income.

The minimum level of AGI needed to be in the top 1% hit a new high...$410,100.

The highest 5% paid 60.6% of total income tax and made 37.4% of all AGI.

They each had adjusted gross incomes of at least $160,000. The top 10% of filers,

those who had AGIs of $113,000 or higher, bore 71.2% of the overall tax burden,

while garnering slightly more than 48% of the total of adjusted gross income.

The bottom 50% of all filers paid just 2.9% of the total income tax bill.

Their share is so low because Social Security taxes are not included in the figures

and because many of them get substantial tax relief from the earned income credit.

owie

I think I fractured my middle knuckle, damn me getting all rlied up in boxing class.

I'm just a bundle of self-demages.

My back/bum is all bruised up from snowboarding a month ago,.  (Doesn't hurt, didn't even notice until 2 weeks later someone asked me what happened)

My knee is all black/blue//purple from when I fell on black ice around Christmas and then went snowboarding for 2 days as it continued to plasma about and not heal wel.

I drove for the first time on a highway from NY to Boston, which left me in a bundle of nerves, to where I pulled over and somehow managed to pinch/aggrevate a nerve in left arm and not be able to do anything with my left hand for a while (Yes, world's dumbest injuring ever, who the frak hurts themselvs from holding a stearing wheel?)

I tried acupuncture and somehow I ended up with mad bruises on my right arm.

I dont thnk running is doing to well for my hip flexor and knees, but it feels so nice.

The genetics of being a fat ukranian woman (I was born in Latvia and my mom was Latvian but they're all tiny in that side of the family) are trying to weight me down from being physically active or going outside!

and this cold won't go away.
