009; earthquake relief

I'm sure that everyone has heard of the quake in Haiti, and perhaps of some of the efforts that have been put forward by the lj community to help. If not (and if so as well), I'd like to draw your attention to two of these that I'm helping with. Both of these are similar in that you (yes, you there!) donate money in return for custom-made graphics. I think it's a really great idea in that not only are you giving to help Haiti recover from the aftermath, but you'll also be getting something in return.


This is being run over at dailydays, I'm helping with both icons and profile codes (for those not in the know, I usually post at layering). The donations will be given to Oxfam on the 31st of January.

This is being run at help_haiti and it runs as an auction where you bid for a specified set of graphics (there's also other categories like fic, or audio) to be made for you. I'm offering 20 icons (so with variations in mind, that's about 7 - 8 images), 5 wallpapers + matching banners and icons, or one whole manga page coloured with icons or banners. The starting bid is $5, so please, do consider it. The bidding ends on the 20th of January.
