Here’s a sneak peek at what I’m working on! This is still a work in progress and feedback/advice is welcome

This is a banner ad in Pixel Studio, the drawing software I use on mobile. The app being advertised, Pixel Diffusion, is from the same company. This company also has a pixel-art-focused social media platform called Pixel Network, which obviously leads to questions about how Pixel Diffusion was trained.

There are already games being produced with AI-generated images and voices…

If you think this is okay, if you think ANY of this is okay, you are not a friend to the pixel art community. When you use generative AI to make pixel art or when you knowingly support AI-generated pixel art content, you are contributing to us having less job security and having our work used for profit without our consent. And even for someone like me who makes no money from their work, it’s really damn discouraging.

I’m thinking of calling him Robin Raggamuffin. He’s actually quite friendly! The sack that forms his head just tends to sag, giving him a permanent melancholic look.

Also, fun fact: he’s primarily made of burlap, straw, and human bones
