Read All This Before You Join/Post Please! I must mean it if I type like that
things
This is a community for projects, be it to alleviate boredom or get some inspiration.
The concept is simple. A "Thing" will be posted (by anyone). That thing can be an image, story, poem, word, etc. You, the willing participant, takes that thing and makes something else out of it.
For example(s)...
If it is an image you can: Edit the image in photo shop and make it pretty Write a poem about/for it. Write a short story about/for it. Make up a caption, situation, explanation, etc for it. Make up a reason for it's existence.
Anything
If it is a poem or any mass of words: Rearrange the words to make a new poem. Continue the poem in your own words. Write a poem relating to it. Create an image for the poem. Write a story about the poem. Make up a reason for why the author wrote the poem.
Etc., etc., & so on.
Questions go to me, pinkish@livejournal.com (pinkfu)
If you are looking for some place to put images or such for this community. I suggest Warped Hosting (cheap and rad) or Liquid2k.com (free and allows remote loading of images). Tell 'em I sent ya.
Disclaimers:
While constructive criticism is always welcome... If you do something stupid like try to start a flame war, violate the LiveJournal TOS, steal, cheat, or anything else that would make me flush even slightly with anger (I'm Irish, that might not be as hard as it sounds) I will boot your ass from this community if you're a member and/or ban you from commenting.
If you use art/photos/etc in your project, make sure you're not violating a copyright or anything else that is against the TOS. If you use a photo of yourself and happen to be naked, you better be over 18 years old. If your project contains objectionable nudity (anything someone would get in trouble for at work) put it behind a lovely lj-cut, please.)
No spam. No posts that don't relate to the community. Don't be mean, rude, annoying or a jerk.
All that said... This is for fun. Keep it light and fluffy. Welcome :)
(This was half inspired by eris and her boredom projects, clokverkorange because he makes pretty image edits, my other community visualpoetry because it's fun and all those other wonderful journals that make for good LJ watching.)
