After thinking about it, we realized that booking shows where we want people to come for our safety was a stupid idea. So, we're playing at one of our favorite places to play in LA, The Cocaine @ Live Jazz in Little Tokyo (366 E. 2nd St., LA, CA, 90012).

If you like a driving rhythm section and dissonant guitars (that build off each other) with melodic vocals over top (and a lead singer with a bum ankle), then come on down and check it out. here's the info and thanks for your time:

yup. kind of a strange request, really. but here's the story:

we're a new band that played one show up in SF at a festival, where we happened to blow out the power 4 times. It was our first show and it was horribly frustrating. so, we decided to book a show in LA that we could just play and not have any pressure.

so, we booked a show at Studio Suite in North Hollywood (Riverside/Whitsett). we're playing tonight @ 9:30pm. the thing is that we went in there for the first time last night. the prevailing thought among the band was, "uh, oh."

I mean, we'll be fine and what not. but it definitely felt like the sort of place where someone would kick our asses for "looking at them wrong." So, we were hoping if there were folk out there who were going to be in the area, if you could stop by and pretend to like us so we could pretend to have our backs covered, that would be great.

anyhoo, if you like fugazi, sonic youth, quicksand, and jeff buckley, you might dig on us. then again, maybe not. thanks for your time...
