So, I went to Merry Ann's Diner with a couple of friends because they opened up a second location and we wanted to try it. I never went to the first location because it looked kinda dirty from the outside, and I'm not really into diner food, anyway.
The restaurant was really cute, and pretty much set up like an old fashioned diner. The prices weren't too high, and I got the best grilled cheese sandwich that I've ever had at a restaurant (btw, the worst was at Steak & Shake).

Gardenburger came out with microwave dinners a few months ago.. they're not usually something that I would buy, but they were on special and I had been thinking about meatballs for a while, so I bought one! It was actually rather tasty, but the penne wasn't nearly as good as if it were fresh (though frozen pasta has never really sounded appetizing to me).

A random purchase I made while shopping with my Jon turned out to be surprisingly yummy... These "Spinach Munchees" appear to be spinach and cheese pizza rolls, except they are made with soy cheese and whole wheat flour. The junky unhealthiness seems to be a lot of the appeal to pizza rolls, but I bought them anyway. I was scared to try them, and even forgot they were in the back of my freezer for a while. After an invigorating run with my roommate, we raided the kitchen; I was pleased to find these hidden in our freezer, and more pleased that they only needed ten minutes in the oven! I don't remember how much they were, but they were really yummy, so I think you should be brave and try them, too!

Another convenience food that I enjoyed a lot were Dominex Eggplant Cutlets. Basically, it's eggplant parmesean... they are really yummy! I ate them on a sandwich once, and as an entree another time, and they were really good. I think they whole box was $4, and I've had three or four meals so far, and there are still a few cutlets left. If you see them in the store, you should try them!!
