INSANE!!! BEAUTIFUL AMAZE AMAZE AMAZE

So first up in this “creating an aerial adaptation of Mr Mistoffelees” series… 🪄The Conjuring Turn🪄 (and the first of many in a continuation of this here)
This was the first part of the number I started with because it’s the most iconic part and, even though I can barely do a single pirouette on the ground, I knew I had to have a sequence in my routine that was at a minimum visually similar to Misto’s Conjuring Turn (though admittedly far less impressive 🤣 but that’s ok)
(More details about the choreo creation process and the struggles after the cut. Also, if anyone has an idea for a tag so folks can follow or not follow this series, let me know! Maybe aerial cats?)
So, this is what I’m going for (featuring Harry Francis… a super impressive LEFT turning Misto)
And this is what (after like 3 iterations and a few trips back to the drawing board) I’ve come up with and don’t absolutely hate
So I follow N. D. Stevenson (comics writer and animator, most famous for Nimona and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power) and his husband Lee Ostertag (also a comics writer and animator) on Instagram. When I started following them, they were both publicly presenting as women, and then a few years ago N. D. came out as transmasc nonbinary, and then earlier this year Lee also came out as transmasc. Anyway this is all setup to say that Lee had the chance to make the funniest post of all time and he took it:
I want to throw in that part of the context behind this meme was N.D. talking about how he sometimes gets hatemail for marrying a man as a former lesbian, and how many people seem to think he divorced his wife.
I have not managed to find anyone who thinks that in the wild, but it is so damn funny.
i think the key to ilya and rose becoming actual friends is when she finds out about his supposedly incredible gaydar and starts hitting him up for vibe checks whenever she's into a new guy
okay i want you all to correct me if im wrong, but in season 11 alone mumbo has taken on the job of:
- Gallery manager/curator/artist (counting this as one)
- C-Team Member
- EGG's tech support/underpaid barkeep
- Firefighter
- Mean Girl Service with Joel
- Grian's therapist
all while moving to france
Hermitcraft fanfic idea: the Fire Department is a superhero team and EGG is the super villain team they are trying to catch. However Mumbo is constantly trying to make sure they fail to do that because he works at EGG's bar/dinner and doesn't want to lose his job because the pay is pretty good and he needs it to pay his bills. (Mumbo is also part of the vigilante group, The C-Team, and is trying to keep secrets about that too)
Other ideas I had about this AU:
I am also mildly thinking of making this into a fic, but don't get your hopes up since I am only casually writing it. Right now I am failing to figure out peoples superhero powers and secret identities with the only things I am certain about is EGG being egg themed names...
Excuse me.
Favourite things about Grian’s new vid because I finally got time to watch it and omg I’m so happy:
The catharsis of doing cats dnd and playing these two reacting to Cats 2019 with @asamis-jodhpurs. Unforgettable.
Yet another new study debunked the basis for the anti-trans sports bans. It was never about sports but for creating legal avenues for exclusion and abjection. This is one of the largest analyses ever conducted, involving 52 studies and 6,485 trans people. Read the study here.
post so nice had to reblog it twice and force it down everyone's throats
At minimum about 4.5 thousand people liked this without reblogging it.
We gotta fix that.
Born August 12, 1907 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Gladys Bentley was a pianist, blues singer, and entertainer. Gaining popularity during the Harlem Renaissance, she performed along a chorus line of Drag Queens, often wearing men's clothes, and was at one point dubbed the "Brown Bomber of Sophisticated Song" and "Americas Greatest Sepia Piano Player."
An open Lesbian during the majority of her life, Gladys Bentley paved the way for many Drag Performers and we are very thankful to her contributions to entertainment and gender performance.
