Behold the Traces of History,

Hi everyone, I'm new here, my names Evadne and i'm 18.

Sometimes I contemplate on what society has turned into, I honestly don't like it. I have a strong desire for things to be more simple, or to be living in a fantasy of castles, kings and queens, and the unknown. I wish more than anything that I lived in another era.

Good Morrow!

I just joined as this community looks rather spiffy. A little intro then; My name is Sarah, I'm Nineteen & reside in England. My favourite historical eras are the Medieval & Tudor periods; I love trying my hand at Medieval cooking, although only the vegetarian things because I am, a vegetarian :) I love to visit York, and luckily it's close by, it's a 20 minute train ride [at an extortionate price] or a 50 minute bus ride [at a thoroughly decent price] and the bus and train station are together anyway so it doesn't matter one bit :p Here is a picture of Micklegate Bar for your viewing pleasure. The Boyf and I intend to go again in this coming week and hopefully I can show you more of Yorks saucy Medievalness, if you'd like :) Hmm, I love Historical Fiction novels and period films, Medieval music & costume and am wanting to start embroidery, but the local library had no books in on the subject this week :( I think I'm rambling now though, so if you've anymore questions feel free to ask me or have a look at my interests list, it's all there :)

Ps; Mr/Mrs Moderator, I'm going to promote this community in both the communities I co-mod because I think a few members would like this one too, I'm not bothered if you don't want me promoting mine here [they aren't history based], but if wanted to affiliate or anything that would be nice, we accept all kinds of affiliates :)

Falconry is what brought me here ^-^ Ive always wanted to be a falconer, ever since I was 14, but back then I was too young and also didnt have the resources. Now that Im getting to be out on my own, soon to be in a place where there is a lot of land, I hope to make my dream of back then a reality.

Finding someone to apprentice me is going to be hard though x.x
