Ruby Duncan (1932-2026): A Champion of the Library District Leaves a Legacy of Advocacy & Access

Ruby Duncan (1932-2026) believed deeply in the power of people and in the power of access. Through decades of grassroots advocacy and community leadership, she helped transform West Las Vegas by creating opportunities where few existed and ensuring families had access to essential resources, education, and support. Her legacy lives on throughout Southern Nevada, and especially within the Library District, where spaces are rooted in the values she championed.
