Christmas Drabbles!

I'm not doing Advent Fics, but I'm going to try and post a drabble every day. Here's Dec 1, 2 and 3 to get us on track! :D All holiday themed or winter themed in some way!

Title: Something's Missing
Fandom: Venture Bros
Spoilers: Season 3
Rating: PG
Warnings: N/A
Wordcount: 100

Christmas music played quietly on the stereo, and from the kitchen came the smell of burning sugar cookies. Dean was trying to bake. Dad was passed out in a chair after too much ‘grown-up eggnog’, his foot dangerously close to the fire. The tree listed to one side. Hank sighed as he tried to adjust the star on top, wobbling on the rickety step ladder he’d pulled from the panic room. It was snowing, and Mr. White and Billy were singing drunken carols on the lawn. It should have been perfect.

But Christmas would never be the same without Brock.

Title: Christmas Shopping
Fandom: Silent Hill 4
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: N/A
Pairing: Henry/Eileen
Author's Note: Totally inspired by Henry and Eileen over at CU. :D
Wordcount: 100

The entire process of shopping for Christmas gifts was one that Henry Townshend was rather unfamiliar with. His parents got standard fare, every year, purchased well before the rush. But this year….

What did a shy, introverted photographer buy for his amazing girlfriend? He paused outside of a lingerie shop, distracted by the window displays. He’d always thought Eileen looked best in pale blue. And lace. It was an option…. One that every Christmas episode of every sitcom he’d ever watched said was a Bad Idea.

Maybe Eileen would like a nice book instead. Lingerie could always come next year….

Title: Keeping Warm
Fandom: HBC
Pairing: Valyn/Shadow
Rating: PG
Spoilers: N/A
Warnings: N/A
Wordcount: 100

The snow lay thick and fresh throughout the forests that surrounded the Hernalth Manor. The storm had come up suddenly, forcing el-Lord Valyn’s hunting party to camp and lay low until it had passed. Inside his tent, Valyn relaxed on a spray of pillows, wrapped in furs and waiting for Shadow to finish cooking breakfast.

“You know,” Valyn mused, eyes at the window to watch the forest, “I can’t say I mind the cold when it brings the snow.”

“Neither do I,” Shadow responded, grinning widely from across the fire. “As long as I’ve got someone to keep me warm.”

It's freezing cold and cloudy/rainy out. I think I'm going to stay in bed and write and RP all day.
