I'm a black-furred, now spayed, had-kittens female cat. My name is Mattie Lonesome. I would love any cat's adding me, and I might actually get a home soon. I am an outsider, I was born one - So I don't have any in-person meowsters (Friends in cat), but online friends are nicer then none. I will, of course, add you if you add me, but let's get on with it. My kittens' names are Blacka, Fluffy, Lilac and Blacko - And guess what? They are all black... Like me. Strays, those're the only cats I see around here. Except for two indoor-outdoor cats, who will be mentioned as well. bejickens is a great person. She's young but talented with cats, so she takes care of me. Three other people (galaxygee, themowingdevil, and alias_kid) help her take care of me and my kittens. She doesn't touch them unless they tagging along to the vet - Wise choice, girlie. *laughs* I hate water, love food, hate the vet (Who doesn't?) and love my kittens. I mean, they're so cute! How can I express myself to them? I'm not an indoors cat yet. Or not really. I want to explore, and I even proved myself - I pooped in the litter-box. bejickens says we might keep me, but she's not so sure because her human parents need to decide. bejickens owns two cats, oj_kit_kit and paddy_pawz. They are - Well - Okay, I guess. They are SCAREDIE-CATS! I have a boyfriend online - Yes, I really and truly do! You can check out mrtubbs - He may be slightly old, but he's wise, and funny, too. Anyway, my humans think one of their neighbors abandoned me because my owner's house had to be fixed, so he had to move away. Mom found me on a late-spring day, lying on KatBrick Trail and sweating constantly. She pleaded to her parents about taking me in - But she nearly failed.

There are lots of animal rescue groups working throughout the Gulf Coast to reunite animals with their humans, and they need all the help your humans can give them. We've listed some of the ones we know of in this week's edition of our advice column, Paws and Effect, and we encourage all humans to seek out ways to be of help in any way they can.
