Immigrants

We have changed, well you have
From when you were young
Now you can buy things
To make you pretty to other people
Who buy those same things
Now your photos
From before looked
Lie in your drawer
And when you meet someone
Your white hands
Under your three buttoned never pressed back darts silk shirt
They will match
So do you
Leave us to find our way
Through, around people like you
We have compliments to give each other

General

I have been a little distracted lately, have not had much time to do the livejournal thing. I'm still working on the malnutrition thing, but feeling like a little skeleton. Family life is not such a wonderful thing, not when you do not really get along.

Let's see, what else? Music is good, videogames are good, I have recently bought some of both, though the music has not arrived just yet. Should be here tomorrow. My computer however is not so good, it's an old machine that needs replacing, sooner rather than later. I want one of those cute little new iMacs... that will fit my needs just fine.

Any computer people here? How is everyone doing? I think I noticed a new member as well... how are YOU?

(extract from)....The Shoes of Wandering
by Galway Kinnell

On this road
on which I do not know how to ask for bread
on which I do not know how to ask for water,
this path
inventing itself
through jungles of burnt flesh, ground of ground
bones, crossing itself
and the odour of blood, and stumbling on,
I long for the mantle
of the great wanders, who lighted
their steps by the lamp
of pure hunger and pure thirst,
and whichever way they lurched was the way.

Hmm... yes.

I believe in my last personal journal entry I mentioned the frailty of relationships (mine), but my real problem seems to be the frailness of my bones. No, they have not broken or anything (which I am glad for), they just often seem to be on the verge of doing so. Especially my ankles and sometimes wrists. There are a couple of areas of the body that are worse off than others, but I will not go too much into this.

At anyrate, while I was struggling to move yesterday and feeling old and decrement it came to me that I am probably suffering from malnourishment and I am not completely sure what to do about it.Fire down belowCollapse )
