Always bear in mind that there is absolutely no legitimate evidence that Luigi was actually the one who killed the insurance company guy.

Of course he wasn't. He was at a party with me that day.

No but like literally, actually. All bits aside.

He didn't do it.

The cops very clearly planted evidence on him because they had to make an arrest because all eyes were on them and whoever actually did the deed was making them look stupid.

Why would the real killer hero have kept the weapon on his person and traveled two states over while carrying it and a manifesto in his bag, conveniently turning the crime into a federal matter? The same guy whose bag they found in a park, filled with monopoly money? Why did the police turn off their bodycams, take Luigi's stuff, drive a block away, turn their bodycams back on, go back into the restaurant, and then arrest him?

From the moment of his arrest, even left-of-center media has been presuming his guilt without examining anything (e.g. calling him "the killer" instead of "alleged" or "accused") and then when I say he didn't do it, the nearest person chimes in with some quip that tells me they think he did do it but should go free anyway. Don't get me wrong, I would have the same attitude if he had done it. But he didn't. It makes me feel like the only sane person in the world, even among my staunchly leftist friends.

Had this idea in my head for ages and found the time to get it out. Really wanted to focus on getting a traditional/classical look to the figure and juxtapose that with scary dystopian sci-fi elements. Think it came out alright?

โ€œNo one is coming to save you.โ€ I disagree ! I believe many people made up of many small moments come to save pieces of you , even if just briefly. The mentor who believed in you . The friend who said theyโ€™re proud of you. The family member that makes you laugh . The random person who held the door for you out of nothing but kindness. The teacher who took extra time to help you understand. The person who smiled at you when you walked into a store. The little kid who looks up to you. The person who randomly complimented you. Being โ€œsavedโ€ isnโ€™t about being whisked away and all your hardships gone, itโ€™s about the people and things that remind you life is not all hardships, it is kindness, love, gentleness, softness, care, thoughtfulness. It is many moments made up of your lifetime that keeps you going and showing you the world is still beautiful, and will always be. Despite.

When I was in a really bad space and the closest people to me were intentionally and actively tearing me down, the little moments of kindness from others helped me keep my head above water. None of them knew what I was going through yet their humanity helped save my life. Those silly moments, or even just talking about music or the weather, gave me the strength to stay myself even when I was being forced to not be.

"College is a place of liberal indoctrination."

And what possible motive would liberals have to put their indoctrination behind one of the biggest paywalls to have ever existed?

College is often the first time that someone regularly interacts with a diverse crowd. College is often the first time that someone is encouraged to think for themselves instead of blindly trusting their parents.

They're not being indoctrinated to be liberal. They were previously indoctrinated to be conservative and are now being freed from that.

being so fr when I say that transmisogyny has put feminism back like 50 years

what i thought we had distanced ourselves from was the reduction of women to vaginas and wombs and the ability to bear children. i thought we had progressed past โ€˜dresses are for women and pants are for men.โ€™ i thought we progressed past the idea that someone is less of a woman if she does not adhere strictly to beauty standards. i thought we progressed past the idea that naturally being comfortable adhering to highly feminine standards is vulgar. but i (sarcastically) guess no one could have predicted that trans-exclusive feminism would be the downfall of all the progress weโ€™ve made

โ€œWeโ€™re in danger of losing what the entire second wave of feminism, what the entire second wave of womenโ€™s liberation was built on, and that was โ€˜Biology is not destinyโ€™. โ€˜One is not born a woman,โ€™ Simone de Beauvoir said, โ€˜one becomes oneโ€™. Now thereโ€™s some place where transsexual women and other women intersect. Biological determinism has been used for centuries as a weapon against women, in order to justify a second-class and oppressed status. How on Earth, then, are you going to pick up the weapon of biological determinism and use it to liberate yourself? Itโ€™s a reactionary tool.โ€

whys combat and military gear always got to look so fucking cool when the people wearing them just objectively arent. thats unfair

this goes for like, all of time. knights are serving the KING? the fucking KING?

Thereโ€™s a total of like 6 steps to stir fry and I just found like 8 ways Iโ€™ve been doing it less than ideally. Thank you for this! Iโ€™m definitely making stir fry this week and Iโ€™ll be using this to guide me.

I realized this year my character Edgar turns 20 (oh my god) so I decided to look back at his original design, and his subsequent updates.

The og. The design that started it all. From a 13/14 year old little Mae. I can't remember if I had a tiny little art tablet at this point or if I did this using a mouse lol. Baby artist making personal history.

He was the grim reaper, if it wasn't clear lol. This was his design for a good while but as it goes we grow as artists and he grew as a character.

Come 2013, when I was 21/22, he looked like this:

Still the grim reaper but now with years of backstory and short stories written.

And now, 2025 and being 33/34, he looks like this:

My tastes have changed a lot over the years lol. He's no longer the grim reaper but a hitman with the nickname Grim Reaper bc he's that skilled at his job.

His glow up is one for the books, lol
