The Common Good Network’s commitment is to make it easier than ever to find organisations that help people overcome socioeconomic barriers to career and education opportunities.
We all have aspirations – whether we achieve them or not shouldn’t be determined by postcode.
The Common Good Network’s ambition is to provide clearer pathways towards achieving what you want, regardless of where you live.
You shouldn’t have to leave the community you love just to get on.
The Common Good Network provides the ability for individuals and organisations to create connections on a local level that will send ripples nationwide.
But we can choose whether or not we do something about socio-economic barriers that prevent people from accessing opportunities.
The Common Good map and directory is designed to showcase and signpost the valuable work of organisations that are on the front line making a difference in their communities. In doing so, we will increase their ability to connect to the people they want to help, and the supporters they need to attract.
The idea for this resource came from our founder’s experience of upward social mobility as a solo and sometimes challenging journey which revealed just how wide the opportunity gap can be. You can read some of her thoughts in the blog posts below.
