finally making my way unlocking all of link's weapons in hyrule warriors and for some reason the gauntlets animations are so, so endearing to me. the smile at the very end of the victory animation.... its so. its so good. im crying. why is link with a Giant Glove so cute to me
unfortunately the screen starts fading to black as soon as he smiles but LOOK... his face goes so unexpectedly soft and amused... ive never seen him like this before... dare i say warriors is one of the more expressive links, especially in all victory animations The entire animation is of him throwing the giant ball and chain in his giant palm like an apple, throwing it, being shocked at its weight and then i guess finding the sheer power of it quite funny? bonus of his entire body lifting off the ground when he throws the ball and chain away

Seeing him look so soft and youthful and happy is making me stupidly emotional 😭😭😭😭 What a precious expression... 😭😭😭😭 he looks SO young here agghhhhhhh so baby so sweet cast into war as Helen of Troy and yet simultaneously forced to be the hero of said war but he's just a soft teenage boy (clutches chest and dies)
