JOHN: Marlboro HAPPY! DF

Millions for Beatle memory...

John Lennon's Gibson J-160E guitar sold at auction for 2.4 Million, as reported here.

If there were ever a piece of missing early Beatle memorabilia that needed to be found, it was this guitar!! . Interestingly enough, it was actually the guitar sold to George Harrison that was stolen at the Christmas show in 1963. John and George got their Gibsons mixed up and the 'John' guitar that was stolen wasn't actually John's. Cool it was 'found', though...

Yoko Ono: Ringo Starr “was the most influential Beatle”

Ringo Starr was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, becoming the final Beatle to receive the accolade as a solo artist (He was inducted as a member of The Beatles in 1988.) In a pre-show interview with Rolling Stone, Yoko Ono spoke of the importance of Starr, going as far to declare him “the most influential Beatle.”

“No one is probably going to believe it,” Ono said, “but he was the most influential Beatle.” She continued, “For some reason John got it, then George got it, then Paul got it. So why didn’t they think about Ringo?”

Ono also discussed Starr’s popularity within the band, explaining “John [Lennon] would go up and down and all that, but Ringo was always just very gentle. And he really believed in peace and love.”
