wedding updates

Well we have gotten a lot of wedding stuff done.

Cake and flowers done last weekend. Veil beading and favors completed yesterday.

Right now we really just have to order the tuxs, order the outdoor chairs, find someone to perform the ceromony (working on that right now), get the music and the ceromony itself figured out, go and pick up my dress from the alterations, and add the beading to the bridemaid dresses.

Not too bad with less than 2 month to go, is it?

update

So I have been bad about updating as of late.

Gas is finally returning back to normal.  only about 1 in 4 stations is without gas up here now.  Lets just say it was no fun there for a bit.  Stupid Charlotte.  But better now.  When I was out I had a parent go and sit in line for 45 minutes to get a can of gas for me.  I returned the favor that Saterday by delivering gas to 3 stranded friends as the stations near my house were stocked but that side of Charlotte was not.

School craziness is up and running.  I just did a fundraiser this weekend, looks like my show will make about $450 from it.  Not bad for soemthng I pulled together in 3 weeks.

I still have 3 extra cats in my house.  Again, cat anyone????

Life is hectic and crazy as always.  I miss all of you that I have not seen in forever terribly.

Was thrown a loop by getting an e-mail from Ann Elizabeth Armstrong last week.  Talk about people you never want to have to speak to again.

Well, I need to clean a bit so I must go.

Ah for those of you not registared to vote DEADLINES APPROACHING PEOPLE PLEASE GET SIGNED UP.

And.....does Sarah Palin's voice annoy the hell out of anyone else?

i have extra cats

5 extra cats to be exact.  Found in a walmart garden center.  A tiny bony mama and 4 itty bitty kittens.  They have now taken up residence in my spare bedroom and are taking up a great deal of my time.  While adorable, Mama Katz hates Toulouse, and Toulouse is none to thrilled either.  I think I have all the babies homes but I have to find this special needs mama, as she is currently well unerwieght and anemic which will hopefully adjust with a stable diet, a calm stable home.  Plus I refuse to ship off the kittens before the mama finds a home cause I'm not so good with the guilt thing.  So, anyone want a sweet, small grey kitty????

Wedding sales

So as some of you know, I love buying stuff on sale, and will on many occasions just wait until I see something I love on super sale to buy it rather than paying full price.

Well I have gotten quite a few things for my wedding stupidly cheap but today really takes the cake.  Glacing around Wal-Mart today I saw some rhinstone hair combs in the bridal section marked at $3.  WOW i thought, I can get matching ones for everyone.  Then I saw another style of comb that was not marked so I grabed a bunch of the $3 ones and one of the other ones figuring I would just swing by the scanner and see.  Well, I almost fainted when the second one i picked up scanned at 25 cents!  Needless to say, I scanned the one marked at $3 to find it scanning at 50 cents!  So I ending up buying about 10 of each figuring if I dont use them for the wedding party, perhaps in decorations, or something for a play at school.  I also searched some more and found a wonderful tiara for the veil that ended up scanning at $3.

Maybe I just have patience or finding such sales comes easy for me, but this is part of the reason why I can't understand people who spend 25,000-50,000 on a wedding, even if they are loaded.
