The Victorian Society of GA is a group of people who love the fashion and culture of the Victorian and/or Edwardian eras. We celebrate it by dressing in period attire and going on outings together.

Proposed events are playing bocce' and croquet at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, attending the steeplechase in Cartersville, going to High Tea at one of Atlanta's tea houses, touring Oakland Cemetary and picnicing at the Atlanta History Center. Other suggestions are definitely welcome.

The Victorian Society covers from 1870 to 1915 (ie: bustles through titanic era fashion.) We leave it complete up to the individual member which era they want to portray. You could even change from event to event (wonderful excuse to add more period costumes to your wardrobe.) The only request is your outfits be authenticly styled instead of "victorian inspired."

If you are interested but are clueless where to obtain a Victorian or Edwardinan outfit, don't worry. We are a friendly bunch of people and will gladly answer any questions you may have. Also, as time permits, links to various pattern companies and costume suppliers will be added to this page.

The Victorian Society hosts two main events a year; one in the spring and another in the fall. Members are encouraged to hold informal gatherings/outings through out the year.

Our Fall event of 2005 will be at Dragon-con on Sunday night...a meet and greet Victorian conclave, with a possible prominade for pictures afterwards....

A second outing will be to Atlanta's Oakland Cemetary's 155 aniversary on October 2
