Crazy plot idea that grew out of a couple of different pups, pairings and plotlines... and this is just to bring it all together in one place!
When the War of Rings finally ended there was a new age in the whole of Middle Earth. Gondor was again under the rule of a king, there was much done to rebuild the cities and towns that had fallen victim of the evil of the East and the First Born left.
Except a few. Those dedicated few remained, entrusted with the care of certain things that were deemed too dangerous to leave without some guardianship. The palantir retrieved from Isengard, the stone used by Saruman, was one, left in the care of the Guardians, one of whom was Prince of Mirkwood, Legolas.
All others were thought to have been lost - even the King's Stone.
But can something created by the Elves, with powers as they had, truly be lost forever?
