What am I doing tonight? Why I am settling down to read The End, by Lemoney Snicket, the final books of A Series of Unfortunate Events. I'm holding out for a happy ending to cheer me up as the nights draw in and the weather turns cold. Though so far, at about 100 pages in, it hasn't exactly been cheery. But things are looking up I think. I'm sure these mysterious islanders will take care of the Baudelaire orphans. What could possibly go wrong?
Hi all, I'm back from Easter break, How is everyone? Tisn't very busy in here!
I made the stupid decision to re-read trashy books I thought I'd left behind. I think it's because I've finished my first year of uni so I dont wanna read anything that takes effort at the moment just something familiar.
So I resorted to the 'Flowers in the Attic' series by Virginia Andrews, I'm engrossed (gross being the best word) all over again!!!
Ahoy-hoy everyone! I'm always interested in what people are currently reading, or indeed planning to read. I have a system for categorising books that I intend on reading. I thought we could compare notes on such systems, or just let each other know what we're reading, what's worth reading and all that business. Here is my system, which I quite like:
I have a To Read pile, which consists of unread books bought recently, or not so recently. To compliment this, at any given time I also have a To Buy list, of books which have financial priority over others, so that they may be included in the To Read pile as soon as possible. Thirdly, I usually have a Re-Read pile, which is composed of books read quite some time ago, which I quite fancy reading again, when the right mood takes me.
Underneath this cut, are my current To Read, To Buy and Re-Read lists... anyone else care to share theirs, make comments on mine, or just recommend a few titles? I know this whole business of listing is quite anal in its way, but I find it interesting nonetheless.
