Training a housecat to do something isn’t impossible but it is quite difficult. Especially when you aren’t their favorite person. I’ve been trying to train Bread the cat to sit on my lap for pets the way he does for my brother but my brother is his favorite person and I am not so he is still very uninterested.
A visual example of antiblackness- really of white European cultural dominance and racism as a whole- applied and hidden in plain sight:
The entirety of the blue section is all of the International section on Europe (interestingly it's got Turkey at the end.)
That yellow box? ALL of Africa.
Just size comparison and context, that orange section is Japan. One singular country vs an entire continent. Every time we say "African" versus having specific European countries and cultures to reference... That's not coincidental!
The damn sink's knocking at the door, gone head and let that in ๐

I realize no one can stop me from talking about my own writing, so hi. I want to talk about some things wrt to A Blade's Purpose, the fic I posted truly far too recently to justify this. But I'm gonna go insane if I don't talk about some parts of it. Read that first though and then come back.
wait one more thing.
Do you guys like how at the beginning of the fic, what I mentioned about the decorations in his quarters. Specifically:
His Grey Warden crest sat on a shelf, the strange shifting light of the fade casting flickering shadows over the small halla carving next to it.
I know it's like. on the nose. but it's fun. is it not?
Or the way Davrin’s whittling the figure of a warrior and Patlani makes him slip up and ruin the carving? Isn’t that fun even though it’s on the nose as well.
