In Between Dragons
Chapter seven is up and finished! I'm actually rather proud of this one. I think I caught the essence of Telemain and Morwen's relationship.

Title: In Between Dragons
Disclaimer: Patricia C. Wrede owns it all. A bit that is owned by Lewis Carroll is included here.
Pairing: Telemain/Morwen, Jack/Amory
Rating: PG-13 or T, depending on the system you use.
Chapter Warnings: A bit of arguing, but nothing that you wouldn't normally hear from Telemain and Morwen.
Story Summary: Mendanbar is missing. Cimorene and Daystar are in exile. But time still marches on in the Enchanted Forest. As Telemain sits on edge ready to propose to Morwen, Willin discovers to everyone's horror that the king's sword is missing from where it was hidden. And all evidence begins to lead them to wizards once again. How do Telemain and Morwen put all the pieces together when the most important players in this game can't be reached for another ten years?
Chapter Summary: When Telemain thinks he's found a way to track down their thief, Morwen has her own surprise for Telemain. Only problem is he thinks he's hearing voices...

Curious, Telemain asked, “what is that?”
“You’ll see.” She took a small about of the salve and rubbed it between her forefingers and thumbs. Then she stepped forward and reached out to Telemain, gently rubbing the mixture into his ear lobes.
“What is this?” he protested, trying to shake away like a small child. “I’m going to smell like an herb garden!”
“Stop fussing. I’m almost done. Then I can see if it works, and then you can go to bed. You’re cranky.”
“And you’re not? I’ve never heard you snap at me so much in one night!”
“Will you two keep it down? Some of us are trying to sleep!”
