a curious occurrence

It seems that I have given offense to somebody.

While going about my daily business in an unexceptional way, I was assaulted by a dozen thuggish types who requested that I accompany them for a blood donation. I must assume that they were not native to this Shadow, as they failed to recognise Lady Poison (who was with me at the time) or to show full appreciation of how a lorry maneuvered. Unfortunately I was unable to obtain further information from them, as they all committed suicide.

They were generally of an unspecified Aryan racial type, dresed in rough black clothing and carrying paired swords and daggers. Their fighting style reminded me of the traditional seventeenth century duellist (except less competent). They were not carrying any trumps or other methods of communication; I would assume they were to be contacted later, if successful.

Would anyone know if I have given accidental offense to a family member lately?

A few amusing notes from the recent festivities:

The sculpted Toblerone representation of Munch's _Scream_ left no doubt as to its originator.

Similarly, the small bottle containing the distilled scent from a thousand pure cacao beans was easily identified, as well as being sufficient to ensure that anyone could smell me coming from a hundred yards off.

The single tablet of Swiss milk chocolate enclosed with the cheque and compliments slip showed a professional hand, together with a nice sense of professional courtesy.

The free cup of hot chocolate when I paused at the Honky-Tonk demonstrated a proper attitude of respectful youth towards her elders.

I do enjoy it when people are most themselves.

[Log] 2004-07-08 Akabane and Homura

Homura had kindly invited Akabane over to the Keep of the Four Worlds, for tea and polite conversation. In the following scene we learn about mysteries and portents, see little or no alarums, discover that Akabane is awfully cute when he's terrotorial and Homura is really just a big softie who works hard to keep the family peace. No really.
