Fanart and commissions (mostly HP) by Thanfiction
I'm Thanfiction, also known as Andrew, also known as Andy, also known as a 25 year old guy new to fandom as of April '08. My interests are quite varied, I write fanfiction with extreme gusto and have strong opinions on most things, but all that is over here, on my LJ, which is friends-locked.
What matters here is that I'm also a rather prolific artist. I take commissions not only willingly, but extremely eagerly, and have developed rather a specialty for rare pairings. I'll draw anything you want as long as it is between consenting human (or relatively human) adults and involves no bodily fluids not normally found in sex, and my rates and other niggly details are found below. You're welcome to peruse this journal and/or my Deviantart page, and I hope you are struck with the uncontrollable impulse to get that image of your favorite character, pairing, or moment out of your head and into your hands at last!
What I Do: Hand-drawn art. Styles vary from cartoonish (non-anime, more traditional comic-book) line-drawing to photo-realistic.
Why You'd Want It: Portraits, Shipper pics, Site Art, Cover Art, Fanfic Illustrations, Gifts, Icon Bases, etc.
What Your Options Are: B&W, partial color, or full color. Digital, pencil, charcoal, acrylic paint, pastel, oil paint, colored pencil, pen-and-ink, or marker.
What I Can Draw: Pretty much anything, though my specialty is people.
What I Won't Draw: I won't draw anyone under 16 having sexual relations of any kind and I won't draw anyone under 18 having sexual relations with anyone over 20. I will draw romance with younger (13 year-old Ginny kissing Neville at the Yule Ball, for example), but nothing that even implies romance between someone under 16 and over 20. I will also not draw beastiality, necro, or extreme kink (watersports, scat, extreme BDSM, etc.) I prefer erotica to outright porn, and reserve the riht to charge up to double for hardcore, as well as to turn down any piece that just squicks me beyond reason. On the other hand, I'm pretty open-minded.
What It Would Cost You:
Black and white line drawing - $10
Color line drawing - $15
Black and white pencil - $15
Color pencil or crayon - $20
Double this for acrylic paint, chalk pastel, or digital.
All prices are per figure. Backgrounds are charged as between one and three figures depending on complexity. Reflections and panel art is handled on an individual basis, as are all special requests or other forms of media.
How It Would Be Handled: You give me the commission, we work out the details, preferably by email (thanfiction@yahoo.com) Digital is done at 150dpi, and if you want higher resolution, or an image larger than 1200x1800, price increases proportionately (+50% for 1800x2700, for example). Payment is due after the drawing is finished and approved, preferably by Paypal, and you will have a chance to approve the rough sketch before I really get going. There is no extra charge for multiple rough drafts within reason (less than 5, with more at $5 each) or for receiving WIP updates if you want them. You get all rights to the image and a copy at 300dpi for manual, but if you want the original, you pay shipping.
How Long It Takes: I can do almost anything in a 48-hour turnaround, but it may be up to two weeks depending on my schedule both personal and fannish. Same-day reserves the right to charge extra.
The Stupid Rules: All images remain copyrighted to the artist (me.) You may not post the full-size images anywhere that can be copied or downloaded. You may not use the images to generate profit for yourself in any way, nor place them on anything that is to be sold without contacting me for explicit permission. You may not misrepresent the images (say they were created for any purpose other than this...such as to illustrate your fanfic, for example). You may not create photomanipulations or other artwork using these images without the artist's explicit permission. You may not repost these images or any part thereof anywhere without crediting the artist. You may freely drool and do anything else within the privacy of your own home, however in that case, please do NOT explicitly contact the artist. He doesn't want to know.
