TV on teh Netz

Damn you, djshiva.

You've got me watching episodes of Beverly Hills, 90210.

Now, yes, this is my choice, but you introduced me to the website that could suck anyone in who enjoys television, particularly cheesey early 90s teen soap operas.

The Goddess Complex / SUBterror

Please by-pass if you have no idea what I'm talking about.

However, this will be a public post.

To whom it may concern, primarily party promoters:

SUBterror and The Goddess Complex are collectives. Both collectives recruit people that share like ideals, thoughts, and concerns regarding the rave scene and other political issues.

However, being that both are collectives, they do not provide a roster or act as a booking agent in any way shape or form. However, if you are not accomodating to a DJ's request, you will eventually have to deal with Shiva, since they are her collectives.

If someone from either such affiliation asks you to add that affiliation or any other prior to the printing of a flyer, you are expected to do so, and be professional about it. Do not lie or make up stories in order to refrain from adding such text to a flyer.

You are expected to do so with any DJ regardless if they are a regional or national act. Fair is fair.

Cordially yours,

Codi

Need Donations for GABR

Dear Friends,

Adam and I will be partaking in the Guardian Angel Basset Rescue Annual Waddle during the weekend of September 16th. We will be taking Madison and Milwaukee with us to the waddle. For those of you who don't know, we adopted Madison from GABR in December of 2004 and Milwaukee in April of 2006. The story of our dogs is not as heartwrenching as many of the dogs I have personally transported for GABR. Many of these dogs are left in yards by their owners, and their owners never return. Others are given up by owners who just do not have time for them anymore. Others are dumped off in the streets. Etc. Etc.

We're looking to get as many donations as possible. These donations will go toward helping homeless and fostered bassets in funding for surgeries, spay/neuter, vaccinations, food cost, and other rescue needs. The folks at GABR all volunteer so the money goes straight to the dogs. The donations do NOT provide us with expenses in traveling to Illinois for the waddle.

I realize that many of you are waiting for financial aid or are strapped for cash, but we're asking for whatever you can give to help. Even one dollar goes a long way for these bassets.

If you do not feel comfortable or are not able to make an online donation but you would like to help, arrangements can be made for pick-up if you are in the Indianapolis area or I can e-mail you my address and a receipt will be sent to you.

If you have ANY questions about this event, donations, the rescue, or whatever, please do ask! Many of you know that I love what I do with the rescue, and I can go on for hours about my hounds, the hounds I've transported, and how wonderful GABR is or if you want to meet Milwaukee and or Madison themselves (they love meeting new people!).

All donations are tax deductible. :)

It's all about the dogs!

Basset Love

It's that time of year again

As most of you know, Adam and I took Madison to the GABR Waddle last year. Last year we raised over $10,000 and a majority of that money went to the Looziana Basset Rescue in Louisiana.

I took a volunteer position over this year as a transporter after I was so moved by the event last year. After doing that, we decided to adopt another basset, Milwaukee. Most of you know Madison's story, so I will share Milwaukee's.

Milwaukee was found left in a backyard with no attention from her owners. When her owners did give her attention, they locked her in a crate in their garage because she likes to bark. A little boy found Milwaukee (formerly Princess) and contacted GABR. GABR convinced the owners to relinquish her, and she was with GABR for several months. I received a call from my transport coordinator asking us to come look at her during an adoption day at the humane society. We fell in love instantly, and Madison did, too. It took a few months for us to get used to Milwaukee being a part of her family. She didn't act much like a dog, but she is learning very quickly from Madison.

This year we are asking for donations again so Madison and Milwaukee can go to the waddle and have fun again. This will be Milwaukee's first waddle, and we are really excited to take her there.

Our donation page is: http://www.firstgiving.com/gabrwis…

I know that last year some people either didn't have credit cards, didn't trust the security of the donation site, etc. etc. If you would like to donate via mail, paypal, or person, please let me know. If you can give even $1, you have no idea how much $1 goes with helping the rescue.

Please feel free to pass this on, and spread the word and the love.
