Welcome to
tg_crack - can I get you coffee, tea, or something stronger?
This comm exists because I thought it would be good to have a mostly flocked community for RPS fic and other creative insanity that doesn't really fit into the guidelines for
topgearslash or has no other home, but would like a wider circulation than on a flocked personal journal.
The emphasis will be on TG crack fic, because that's in the name, but I think we are open to gen, het, femmeslash, slash, art, knitting projects, original songs, dirty limericks, icons, polls, silly memes mapping characters between fandoms, and whatever other dodgy creations you feel like sharing in a fannish context.
Rules to follow, but most of them I intend to clone from TGS, just with a wider filter on content. Use of lj-cuts, proper formatting, warnings, ratings and lack of trolls and flaming will I hope not be controversial.
I hope the delightful and perceptive
wolfy_writing and
mahpantsaregone have been conned into co-maintaining this with me - if you know any of us at all you will realise that I am relying on them for creativity and general brilliance - my job should mostly be confined to light filing, providing refreshments and a spot of cheerful ranting!

What I think should definitely belong here
The epic struggles of reality alteration between the Stig and Test Card Girl
Smut where Jezza's Ferrari is abducted by a giant squid.
Gen stories about what it is like to be one of James' spanners.
Pictures Richard might have drawn at Art School.
Wossy poetry.
Ambitious but possibly rubbish challenges.
Stuff that you might post of
topgearslash but want to try out on a smaller audience first.
Long rambling TG/HP crossovers that you suspect everyone rolls their eyes at apart from a few kind and demented friends.
What I think might belong here
Slash fic about TV chefs whose only connection to Top Gear is that they probably shagged Jeremy Clarkson once.
Weird crossovers that are unclassifiable, but again you might imagine the TG team writing them if they had overdosed on Vicodin.
Drawings of any one you fancy in a wetsuit or a long black leather coat.
Cosmopolitan style sex surveys.
Anything that you think enough members of the comm will like - either as a flocked post or as a link to your own journal or somewhere else.

tg_crack is intended for those of us who enjoy the delicious crack to be found on
topgearslash, so we can share other similar but more-or-less off-topic stuff with our fellows conveniently. And to have a lot of fun doing so :-)
