So I click on a story today that has over 10,000 reviews and in the first couple hundred words I was already rolling my eyes.
For once, I would like to hear about competent mothers.
Ones that don't whine. Don't want special favors.
Ones that aren't a complete frazzle all the time because they can't be bothered to do things that need to be done when they have time.
Ones that refuse to claim they just can't do it without the father helping them or another man stepping in.
If I read one more fic where the woman can't cope because she's so busy, but has only managed to wander around whining with their thumb up their butt the whole fic I'm going to hunt down the writer and smack them.
I'm just the Auntie, but ZOMG there is so much more to motherhood than this crap.
