I finished my Predator/Alien re/watch. I skipped Alien 3 because I’ve always disliked it and there wasn’t time to watch it before letting D+/HULU go. I still unapologetically love the twisted sexiness and gothiness of Alien Resurrection. I liked Prey as an historical action film but only thought it was okay as a Predator film. I didn’t get to the animated Killer of Killers movie.

Predator Badlands was very different but I really enjoyed it. I kept telling my friend that who ever is behind this new era is trying to make Predator/Alien/Bladerunner into the new Star Wars/MCU and I am here for it. I hope they’re allowed to follow their vision and dont get too much exec interference.

I saw Twilight Breaking Dawn 2 in theater and am so glad I went. I was a very fun time, with people laughing and clapping and quoting lines. This series needs to be studied for how to get the “so bad it’s a classic great time” formula down.

I finally watched seasons 2-3 of Versailles and am so glad I did. The 2nd season was extremely good and suspenseful with the Affair of Poisons plot. Some of the 3rd season was contrived, badly plotted/written trash, but all still beautiful and compelling. I don’t know if giving them more time to sit with the characters would have helped or hindered. Things definitely moved too fast and many character/relationship moments were not shown. But it had a fairly good, wrap up finale that left me satisfied and open to a rewatch, so I declare this show a win and sooo much better than the newer historicals I’ve tried that are the very worst of CW type writing that I can’t get through one episode (Spanish Princess!)

I haven’t been playing DND but tonight we have a Friendsgiving and I’m bringing the pie :-)
