Saving Democracy: I did our No Kings march yesterday. Like everywhere, we seemed to have more people than last time. Here in Charlotte, we didn’t get any counterprotestors that I saw, and the cops were totally chill. People working along the march route waved and some cars honked. I saw one lady roll up her car window, hahaha!

Tron: Ares: I have seen it twice and I love it. It is everything I wanted from a third Tron movie. It is such a faithful sequel to both Tron movies that all these people hating on it are seriously pissing me off. I get that people have issues with Jared Leto. Most “method actors” have crappy reputations if I’m not mistaken. But he is not the only person in that movie and it is clear that sooo much time and heart was put into it that it’s heartbreaking that the next installment (Yes, there is a sequel tease) won’t be made because of a bunch of haters with nothing better to do than shit on the good work of hundreds of people, including the glorious Gillian Anderson and Evan Peters, FFS. So many comments I’ve read mention missing the female costar of Tron Legacy that I have to wonder if they also object to the only white women in Tron Ares being over 40. I guess the cougar thing is dead, smh.

South Park was lit this week, finally calling out fake Christians with Jesus as one plotline lead. The other plotline featured the “sixes seven” thing going around. I can’t wait to see where this season ends because it is clearly building up to something big.

DnD: I haven’t played in a few weeks. One game was preempted for a steampunk band that was very good. This coming week is our Halloween game and I’ve made a sorlock with Beetleguise as the Undead Warlock patron, squee! My Form of Dread goes like this - my eyeballs roll back into their sockets and disappear. Then my tongue unravels and hangs out of my mouth down to my waist. Finally, thick white pus pours out of my eye sockets and mouth the whole time we’re fighting! Except, I’m not really fighting. I’ll be playing a violin and hitting people with eldritch blast, dissonant whispers, and such. Woo hoo! I’m excited. Oh, and my mage armor will look like a black and white striped Victorian dress.
