Date: 2025-10-12 08:38 pm (UTC)From:Alien Earth: This show was so very well done. I loved how much attention to detail they spent making it match the original Alien movie. But I also love all the Blade Runner that’s in it. I even liked the finale, though I was surprised at what did/didn’t happen. Probably my favorite aspects was the corpo culture and class issues. I may even write something up about it, and I haven’t been motivated to do anything media studies related in a very long time.
Peacemaker: This finale was surprising (and a let down for some) in such a very similar way to Alien Earth. It’s a weird coincidence considering them airing at almost the same time. I side-eyed Peacemaker’s finale more, but with more thought, I think I like it and that the whole season will probably feel better after a binge rewatch. In fact, releasing the whole season at once would probably have done it a huge favor because there was too much time for speculation that would lead to disappointment. I also think someone my age can appreciate the finale more, due to the music choices.
Marvel Zombies: Holy Cow!!! This was easily the best thing the MCU has done since No Way Home. The animation is gorgeous with a perfect amount of anime influence. This is the West Coast Avengers, Young Avengers, Hulk, Black Widow 2, and Blade movies we should have gotten but never did. Somehow squeezed into two hours. Well, that’s the upside of moving into animation. I wasn’t happy about the lack of a certain character, but oh well.

Gaming: The Star Trek game is back on schedule, the Invisible Sun one continues to prove impossible to organize.
Writing: After a very productive weekend last weekend, I'm back to grr argh.
Arting: I have been making cool acrylic jewelry!
Just one more Big Event next weekend (Can*Con) and then maybe my life can settle down? ahahaha sob.

I am still catching up on my reading but this week has been a little crazy. I am hoping to pick up Hellblazer John Constantine Dead In America. I would love to get the hardcover but it is way too expensive and I am no longer working. The soft cover should be out this month in Australia.
