Character Name: Keith

Canon: Voltron: Legendary Defender
Summary: Keith is something of a lone wolf, used to doing things his way on his own terms. He can be abrasive and slow to trust others. He has difficulty catching on to social cues in crowds. He also has a quick temper and often uses anger to cover other emotions like anxiety or hurt or grief. However, given a chance, and people who believe in him, Keith can find stability and be a good leader. He's overcome a lot of tragedy and strife in his young life, and it shows. He's quiet and not great at conversation, but his matter-of-fact and straight-to-the-point way of speaking give others confidence in following his leadership. Once someone has his trust, they have it through thick and thin for life. He's steadfast and loyal as a friend. Having grown up mostly alone with little to no family, his friends are everything, and he often sees them as family from his side of the relationship. However, this means that Keith can be easy to fool once a person gets past his initial barriers, and leaves him open to betrayal. Keith always tries to do the right thing, even if it means sacrifice. He puts the needs of others over those of himself. He's also fiercely protective of those he cares about.
Skills: Keith is athletic, has a very high endurance and stamina, and is extremely agile. His strength is in close combat, but he's also an excellent pilot in dogfighting scenarios due to his quick reflexes and sharp instincts. He's a visual learner, good at remembering landmarks and symbols he's seen in the past, and he can learn to do something by watching and mimicking others. His tendency to hang back from a crowd makes him a good observer, but he sometimes focuses a bit too much on the details instead of the overall picture.
Powers: Keith doesn't have any major powers, but he is especially sensitive to quintessence. Given the chance and desire, he could likely learn to manipulate it and there is fandom speculation that the Galra side of his bloodline has druids, which gives him this abnormally high sensitivity. However, he's not skilled in using it beyond a few mere basics that are necessary for him to perform his duties as a highly skilled Paladin of Voltron. Most of his other abilities that seem "super-human" are really just an inherited trait from his Galra mother (high endurance, strength, agility, etc). For anyone canonblind to this version of Voltron, a good comparison might be someone who's sensitive to feeling the Force in Star Wars and can tap into it on a very basic level for things like "I have a bad feeling about this", but isn't strong enough to join the Jedi Academy... if one is familiar with Star Wars.

Are you willing to play this character in a villainous role? I am, but Keith is really not a villain. However, if convinced he's doing the right thing, he can possibly be fooled into doing bad things until he realizes he's on the "wrong side". He would eventually switch sides once he figures it out.
Is there a specific position or role you'd like the character to play? Keith kind of starts canon as a loner, and he operates well that way. So, having him as a loner and not immediately part of a clan is definitely feasible and fits his personality. However, he flourishes when in a team that he can trust and lean on for support, so having him start in a clan as "that loner kit" who eventually comes around to be really good at something with a small and tightknit group of cats is really how Keith works best.
Is there anything specific you DON'T want? I'm pretty open to anything.

Cat details: Keith's normal coloring actually works well for a cat. Mostly black fur, lean, but muscular, with a long tail for balance. The only thing that might be weird in regards to "catdom" would be if I could keep his eye color. It's a deep indigo/cobalt color of purple-ish blue. But, I'm open to him having a natural cat eye color if that's preferred.
Cat name: 'Panther' as the prefix. Since he'll likely be a fighter type, then the suffix would change based on rank and whatnot, so I'm open on what that is. I was thinking 'claw' or something along those lines because Keith is a melee fighter and usually uses swords and other bladed weapons in canon.
