A weird stroke of luck landed resident bad-boy and troublemaker Keith in Team Voltron as the Red Paladin, and second in command. Unfamiliar with space beyond his own solar system, he and the team are thrust across the universe in a mission to stop the Galra Empire by using their Lions to form Voltron, the legendary defender, and the strongest weapon ever created. On his journey, Keith discovers that he's half-Galra, his mom is a Galra resistance fighter, and ends up being chosen by the Black Lion when the team leader mysteriously disappears. They eventually find the leader again, and, after some conflict, Keith leaves Team Voltron to join the Galra resistance for a while so the former leader can step back in. Working with his mother on a mission to track quintessence sources, Keith finds the remnants of the long lost Altean race. He returns to Team Voltron, only to find out the former leader was a clone, and is forced to fight against him in order to save him. He retakes his position as leader of the team and guides them back to Earth, where they rescue Earth from a Galra invasion, and gain the support of the Galaxy Garrison. Together, with the strengthened Voltron Coalition, he travels with the team around the universe to liberate remaining captured planets and take down any remnants of the Galra Empire.

Keith is a hot-headed, short-tempered, stubborn person on the outside. He's prickly and has trouble letting people get close to him. However, he's fiercely loyal and protective of those he cares about, often shouldering more responsibility than he can handle. He doesn't show his emotions easily unless he's angry, and his anger is often a defense mechanism covering something more vulnerable, such as hurt. He's often the most serious of his team, but can be slowly coaxed out of his shell with the right kind of nurturing. Keith is an introvert and hates the spotlight, only stepping up when he absolutely has to. However, he's developed strong leadership skills as he's grown up, and can bring together a team when the moment calls for it.

QUIRK IN-DEPTH: Keith's essence has given him a weakness for baked goods, mostly sweets. As such, he can sniff out a bakery in moments, and often finds himself craving pastries and breads. It's hard to resist and he's almost always eating, as his basket constantly generates food when needed.

WEAPON: Knife
STYLE: Keith is mostly a physical fighter, as that's what he's used to. He's agile and quick, using those to strike and dodge when he fights. He's not a heavy hitter, nor does he fight with sheer muscle, but he uses his speed and reflexes to stay ahead of his enemy.

His cloak and basket are handy as the cloak gives him a level of camouflage in the forest, enhancing his stealth, and the basket generates baked goods on command to help when the party is hungry.

Keith also comes into the storybook world with a pet cosmic wolf he raised and tamed himself back home. The rest of his team named the wolf Kosmo against Keith's wishes, and the name sort of stuck. Kosmo is capable of teleporting, and can bring up to two people with him that we've seen. Keith has trained Kosmo to fight with him, and they can move and battle really well together. Kosmo seems to be intensely aware of what's going on and what's needed as well, often anticipating the needs of his "pack". He has a special connection with Keith.
