On June 30, 2011, the Temple Terrace Police Department was awarded accreditation status through the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, Inc.
The achievement of accreditation status is truly a landmark accomplishment in the department’s history and vividly represents the department's commitment to providing the highest quality law enforcement services possible. Since the department’s initial accreditation, the agency has successfully completed multiple reaccreditations.
Accreditation and Professional Standards are supervised by Sergeant Jason Malavé. In addition, Sgt. Malave is responsible for employment screening and background checks for all applicants. Patrick Brown, the accreditation coordinator, is responsible for all accreditation mandates and all matters related to accreditation compliance.
