Important Notices


Service Fee

A service fee applies when using a credit or debit card to make payments to the City. The fee is collected by our payment processor; the City does not receive any portion of it.

Monthly Early Closure

The Utility Billing office closes at 1:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month for staff meetings and training.


Start Utility Service

To open a new water, sewer, and/or solid waste account, customers must submit a completed application along with required documentation and a deposit.

Stop Utility Service

Customers may request termination of utility service only when there is a qualifying change in occupancy, such as the end of a lease or the sale or transfer of property ownership.
Service cannot be turned off solely because a property is vacant or temporarily unoccupied.

Payments

Payments must be received and processed by the due date to be considered on time.
For the fastest and most reliable posting, the City encourages payments through:

  • Online Customer Portal

  • Automatic Bank Draft (ACH)

Rates & Charges

Utility rates are established by City Code and include water, wastewater, irrigation, solid waste, and related fees.

Fees

Common service fees include:

  • Initial turn-on: $25

  • Meter check: $25

  • Service restored for delinquency: $25

  • Per trip charge: $25
