This is the first of a few tutorials that I'm working on at the moment because I'm in an icon funk and I'm avoiding studying for my exams. I hope they'll be of use to someone.



Made with PS CS2. Selective Colours but NO curves.

This tutorial will try you how to show how you can extend the height of an image and not be confined by the content of the picture that you're using. Also shows how to use scratchy textures and selective colour layers for super bright colours. wow!

Caps by dj43 @ dj_capslock & a couple of my own caps...I'm not sure why I capped bits because the dj capslock ones are fantastic.

So the Austen-fest continues. I have an issue with yellow icons so I fought like a Trojan to reduce that colour in these icons as this film is very..um..yellow. Anyway, I won in some cases, most of the time I failed, the point is I'm not so anti-yellow anymore! Hurrah!

I've also included a manip I made of two screencaps from desert_sky which show Emma and Knightley at their wedding together. It was used for icon #39. You're welcome to it as long as you credit desert_sky for her lovely caps.

Tiny text brushes with a gothic initial, one for every letter of the alphabet!

Ok, I really can't make impressive brush banners but believe me when I say that these are useful brushes and you'll use them to better effect than I have done so far. I hope that they're of use to someone. Oh, they also work well as light on a dark background, you can get lots of effects by messing with the opacity.

I have to be honest and say that I didn't really like this film, I do however, quite like icons from it. This set is one of my favourites and I really enjoyed making them to a rather ridiculous degree. I hope you like the pretty colours. Feedback = v.good & appreciated.
