And so it goes
The time comes when you just don't need to deal with the idiots anymore.

If I'm ever caught for a crime punishable by the death penalty, once I've exhausted my legal defense options and appeals, I'd definitely volunteer for any kind of experimental euthanasia. For science.

Quote of the day:
"At this point, gay people voting for Republicans is like watching a burn victim intentionally mash their hand into the glowing coils of a stove. You want to shout out to them, 'Why are you doing that? Stop!', but it is so absurd and mind-bending that you can't even express yourself in terms that other humans would understand."

This happens EVERY DAY.
( Know my enemies.Collapse )
I work at a clinic that does abortions. I am extremely proud of it - I support their mission to provide the full range of reproductive health care to all patients. There are protestors outside the clinic every day. Recently, the "Truth Trucks" came to Minneapolis, courtesy of the "Center for Bioethical Reform." They changed nobody's mind. I would not be intimidated out of my job, ever.
I'd do abortions if I had the training. The only reason I don't is because I'm lazy and because I don't really want to move out of the city. If I were not so lazy that I took the time to go back to undergrad, finish my prereqs, go through med school, and finish residency, I'd do abortions. If I was able to do abortions, I'd go where they were needed - not Minneapolis. If things get bad enough, that's exactly what I'll do, but I am selfish and want to wait until they truly are that bad.
If people spent as much time, effort, and money on preventing unintended pregnancy, supporting pregnant women, and making adoption easier, as they do on harassment and legalistic challenges to abortion, the rate in the United States would be close to zero. Fools.

Back to Crawford, that is.
That probably is the best reason to send him back.
Aww, she's growing up! Not.
Last night, I discovered that I like green olives on pepperoni pizza.
