I'm thinking about resigning as commander-in-chief of this here vessel. Feel FREE to do what cha like w/ the place. It's been fun bulls, but I'm about burnt out. :( I may be back later on. And as a personal note, I no longer use the tropical zodiacal system any longer.

Just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Lynsey, but online I just prefer FR, Roxy, or whatever variation of my screen name people can make up. (Rocklyn? Go for it.) I seem to come from a family of Taureans. My grandfather's a Taurus (and a stereotypical stubborn bull at that...oy vey....the arguments we have....drives me crazy...) as is my brother (another stereotypical bull). And then there's me. I think I'm a stereotypical Taurus too....but certainly more cow than bull.
Anyways, I noticed some complaining about how this community is a little dead. So, I don't know if this has been asked or discussed before, but I figure it's better than nothing to talk about right?
Anyways my question is, as individuals (not just as Taureans), what signs are you usually attracted to?
Myself, I'm totally in love with Scorpios. I'm not sure why, maybe it's because they're supposed to be such sexy, passionate creatures. How about you?
(P.s. I'm also a Canadian, from Alberta. Mad Cow disease puns are welcome. Har.)

Wowzers, this comms almost dead. C'mon you Taurus people, get your butts in action...
I've always made the claim I'm nothing like my Western Astrological sign. But then again, there's some descriptions that nail me to the spot. I'm going to take some quotes from Suzanne White and tell me what you think about them. Do you agree?
On good days, Taureans are are peace-loving, tranquil, serious, patient, logical, hardworking, easygoing, artistic and sensual.
Ugh.... serious, logical... yes. Hardworking? too much so. Easygoing, meh would have to disagree. Artistic and sensual, yes very, but my sensual side is dying, maybe old age.
Here would be my adjectives: indulgent, fun-loving, compromising, playful, decadent, hospitalitable, conscientious, caring, charitable. At least from the few Tauruses I know, I think these are better adjectives.
That's why we so often find these grounded creatures trudging about their own huge plots of land in big rubber boots with mud halfway to their knees and a complacent smile on their placid faces.
What the hell? Uh... obvious Ms. White is mistaken here. She must not know many Tauruses.
Complacent smile of their placid faces? She's been looking at her pet cat too long.
I'd say we're the opposite. I'd think Tauruses are the ones working overtime on weekends, which is what I will be doing. In between work and an overly active social life, one has to get in 18 holes of golf, a tennis game, cooking class and of course... my favorite pastime SHOPPING! Most likely an overly indulgent, too expensive outfit for tonight's party.
Same time, they put in a call to see how mom and dad are doing, stop by to pet the dog, and tell their grandma how great she looks at 86.
Meh?....
What are your thoughts.
Hrm... where is everybody?
I thought Cancers were the lurkers.
Oh yea, we're the silent types.
Just curious, how many of you really think you fit the description of a Taurus?
And which descriptions do you dis/agree with?

Here's a question for you Taurus/Gemini cuspers (and anyone else who'd like to answer as well): how can you tell if one is more Taurus or Gemini-like if born on a cusp? I mean I really don't have so much as a birthday on this cusper, and am trying to guess by personality, alone. I'm assuming that they will be a mix of the two, but they also have a moon in Taurus as well. Theoritically, anything is possible. Therefore, I'm not ruling out the possibility that am immature sun could still have lots of traits that are still resonated from the previous sign until a certain degree of maturity in the next. Of course the books don't even talk about this, but it's not impossible for you to experience this firsthand. So I also wouldn't be a bit surprised if this person turned out to be more Taurus overall.
