Doubt

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Doubt
You may be looking for the god.

Doubt was a form of disbelief in a individual or a concept.

In the Wish World, doubt was not permitted; people were encouraged to report anyone they saw, including family members, who were experiencing doubt. Any sort of questioning of the reality, even someone merely saying they wondered about something, was interpreted as doubt. Such people would be detained by the police and taken away. The Slip – an object falling through the surface of a table – often happened in the vicinity of someone experiencing doubt, and, like the rest of the reality of the Wish World, was not to be questioned.

In truth, doubt in the false reality was crucial to the Rani's plans, as enough doubt would eventually tear open a doorway to the Underverse, where she sought to find the long-banished Omega. Seekers in the Rani's Bone Palace monitored doubt across the world. (TV: Wish World [+]Loading...["Wish World (TV story)"])
