Dega was the King of Mondas at the time of the genesis of the Cybermen, being largely responsibly for the original CyberMondans, as well as for Mondas' departure from the Sol System. He was the son of Paulus and the brother of Sylvan. (PROSE: Genesis of the Cybermen [+]Loading...["Genesis of the Cybermen (short story)"]) He used the cyber technology to try and keep his father alive and did not like Nyssa from examining him. However, he liked her inputs into his creations. It took him 30 years to create the Cybermen and had become a cyborg himself. He had outlawed arts as a wasteful pursuit.
