Beatie was a being from the Beatine Dimension of Dance and was described by the Hypnotising Cat as a "banana" due to his yellow colour. He had one large eye and wore a multi-coloured dress.
In 1977, Beatie tried to take over the world and had successfully danced with all the world leaders and turned them into stone. The Fifteenth Doctor danced with Beatie to try and beat him into conceding the Earth but was also beginning to turn into stone. Beatie was designed by Emily Page as one of the winning entries of the Doctor Who monster design competition in the 2024 Lakes International Comic Art Festival.
