How to use TARDIS Guide TARDIS Guide helps you track, rate, review, organise, and discover stories across the Doctor Who universe (TV, audio, books, comics, and more). It helps you keep track of what you have experienced, what you own, what you want to explore next, and how your tastes compare with other fans. This page is your overview of everything the site can do. Each section is a short summary with a link to a more detailed guide. Most features are free for everyone, but some are Patrons-only. Getting Started Creating an account and signing in You can join for free and sign in with a password or a magic link sent to your email. Once signed in, your tracking, ratings, reviews, and lists are saved to your profile and follow you across every device. Read more about account verification → Tracking Your Journey Logging Stories Mark stories as completed, save them for later, skip stories you are not interested in, mark favourites, and record whether you own a story. Story pages also show community stats: how many people have completed, tracked, skipped, favourited, or rated each story. Read more about logging stories → Ratings and rating history When you log a completed story you can set the date and time you first finished it, add a rating, and log repeat experiences. Every time you change a rating the previous one is kept, so Patrons can see how their opinion of a story has shifted over time. Patrons can also access deeper rating graphs and the full list of ratings given by other members. Read more about ratings and rating history → Sets and progress tracking Completing stories automatically updates your progress through the set, such as a TV series, audio range, or novel range. See which story you are up to, move backwards or forwards through a set, and track how many other people are following or have finished it. You can bulk complete or bulk skip stories in a set. Patrons can repeat whole sets, either mixed in with the rest of their activity or shown separately. Read more about sets and progress → Collectables Track which collectables you own, physically or digitally. Marking a collectable as owned will automatically mark the stories inside it as owned too. Collectables can be rated directly, or receive an automatic rating based on your ratings of the stories they contain. You can also add collectables to your list for later. Add characters to your tracker, keep a dashboard, favourite characters, and show your favourite characters on your homepage or profile. Spoiler protection keeps future reveals hidden until you are ready for them. (Actor Tracker is a work in progress) Rating, Reviewing, and Quotes Reviews Read and write reviews for both stories and collectables. Work on a review over time as a draft, write in your chosen language which can be automatically translated, and share a private preview link before you publish. Read more about quotes → Transcripts Many stories have full transcripts you can read directly on their story pages. Read more about transcripts → Organising Playlists (Patrons) Create playlists made up of any mix of media, in any order. Add notes, let other members track your playlists, and repeat a playlist to go through it again after finishing. Advanced searches can also be turned into automatic playlists that update from saved search criteria. Tags can be public or private, depending on how you want to use them. Pick which filters appear on listings and reorder them (up to 12, or unlimited for Patrons). You can also choose sets and publishers to hide so they do not appear in certain parts of the site.
