Valentina Innokentiyevna Tarasova (Valya, to those who know her) was born to Innokentiy and Lidiya Tarasov in early July of 1988. She was the youngest of twins, born fifteen minutes after her twin brother, Viktor. The twins grew up largely under the care of house attendants and nannies, due to their parents both being very busy people. Still though, Innokentiy and Lidiya managed to make weekends for their children, and they tried not to spoil them too badly. The twins were quite close, due to growing up together and spending most of their time together, although they fought often, as children do. Valya was always the more aggressive of the two, but she would quiet down if she got a stern look from either of her parents. It wasn't until Valya started school that she started to feel like she was very different from the average. She was bored easily in most her classes, although she loved the ones involving computers, and got quite good with them. Eventually she realized that she was doing things kids her age weren't even capable of doing, and some of her teachers certainly hadn't taught her. At the time, she just thought she was being clever. Then one day, after months of thinking about it, she decided to attempt to drive her father's car while he was out. Viktor tried to stop her, since she'd never actually driven before in her life, nor had a lesson, but she was certain she knew the car inside and out, and confidant she could drive it. So he came along, and they went once around the block. From there, Valya was convinced she had more potential than the average, and she put it to use. She experimented with things, examined the electronics in stores, at her school, heavy equipment, and tried anything she could. What she couldn't try she attempted to replicate out of scraps from a junk heap near their home. She was almost completely disinterested in school, and skipped classes often, although she always remembered to turn in assignments when they were due. She continued on this path for a while, spending more time outside of classes than in, looking up things on the internet, and playing with machines, until she was found by a group of Deviant University representatives. She was hesitant to go with them at first, because her brother wasn't special and it would mean leaving him behind, but when she was told of the things that students at the school DID, well. How could she say no to becoming a superhero? |
Valya is in short a very intelligent girl, she just lacks the attention span to focus on any one subject that doesn't completely demand her attention. She's got a bit of wanderlust, gets bored easily, and is very classically a dreamer. She's spirited and doesn't really make a habit of telling untruths, although she has been known to adjust the truth to fit her needs. She's got a very forceful personality, and if she doesn't agree with your opinion, you will know about it. And she won't be gentle with her own opinions, either. She's also very stubborn, so if she does make her mind up about something, don't expect it to change any time soon. |
Technopathy. She can figure out how just about anything mechanical or technological works just by touching it. this extends to figuring out computer coding, and controlling the computers and technological objects with mental commands. She can also think in binary. |
