This journal is going to be mostly friends-only from now on: I'm quite happy to add people as friends, I'm just hesitant about the whole thing being available to be viewed freely. Reviews will always be available for all to see. Comment if you'd like to be added.
I have a fair amount of 6mm plugs for my ears now, considering that I’ve only been at this size for a few months, but I’m putting a fair amount of time and money into building this collection into an admirable one, as I intend to stay at this size for some years, if not forever. Plus, guys don’t get to wear much jewellery (if they want to be viewed as men, at any rate), so I have the spare cash to flash round on jewellery. Here’s the current collection: It lives in this box. It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 6 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes at at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools.

REBLOG to spread a message of love, unity and peace.
It's now week three of the summer term, and these are the pens I'm using for this week's work (drafts of dissertation chapter two, mostly). They are my new Lamy Al-Star (F nib), in purple-black, and my lovely Pelikan 100. The Al-Star more of a burgundy colour than a true purple, I'd say. The Pelikan 100 was very conservatively restored by me - it's missing its clip, and the cap rings need polishing, but its wonderful nib more than makes up for that.
My grandfather just received ‘the secret of life’ in the post this morning. It’s a four leaf clover amulet, and I know both these things because its packaging said so.
I rather thought the secret to life was in breathing, actually. Clearly I was incorrect.
A rare public post from me this late morning, sitting on a relxer chair in my garden. The front door is open to allow some air to circulate in the house, and my hair is wrapped in a towel to dry it. I have a cup of tea next to me, and I'm using my old chair as a coffee table. I'm using my laptop keyboard, which I don't normally do, to minimise the equipment I had to bring outside. Arther the rabbit is hopping about in his run - I deemed Chloe too young for that just yet, although I've taken some fresh grass and dandelions up to her so she's not fully missing out. The hens are in their run right behind me, and the cats are roaming the garden tormenting the hens and looking for mischief. This is the first day this year that it's actually felt that there might be a summer.
