Sequoiadendron giganteum,
Ella Webb

Motorbike Frog, Perth WA.
So named for their call, which sounds a lot like a motorcycle revving up/shifting gears.
oddly elusive for an animal that i've barely ever seen moving around, Odiellus always counts as a lucky find to me but this one was extra lucky due to not being on a vertical surface for once. the piece of wood it was hiding under was maneuverable enough to let me pick the best angle to highlight its little pleading eyes and mustache

The ichthyosaur Platypterygius from Australia was found with remains of an ornithocheirid pterosaur in its gut. That alone would be impressive - but then the ichthyosaur itself has bite marks likely inflicted by the massive Kronosaurus, and damage that has been interpreted as being caused by hitting the seafloor nose first after being munched.
Bad day for the ichthyosaur, but a spectacular discovery for us!
