I succeeded in downloading all the vids from Festivids prior to reveals, but got stalled working my way through them a couple of different times. Eep!

Did manage to make a lot of comments, but not as many as I'd hoped to. And upon further review I'm realizing there are more cases than I'd like where I watched the vid and thought I'd commented, but I clearly haven't. Made the comment in my head? Comment-fail? I dunno. So now I think I'll spend some time going to the DW posts for all the vids not just to download signed versions, but to comment if I haven't yet. Could take a while, but I really want to do it.

I enjoy so many fanworks, but am a shy anxiety-ridden hermit who sucks at leaving feedback but I'm really trying to do better this year at leaving feedback where the creators will see it and not just rec stuff behind a f-lock somewhere. Or never get around to it.

I know how much feedback means and what a small percentage of people bother to do it; it can be really discouraging to put work out there and not get feedback of any sort. I know some people don't think much of the "Kudos" function at AO3, but I take it seriously and am glad to have it for when I don't feel up to leaving actual comments. I don't usually leave Kudos though until a work is completed, but then I rarely read WIPs (and if I do, I'm trying to leave encouraging comments in lieu of kudos). (I wait until the end to leave kudos because I've had a WIP or two take horrible turns which meant I ultimately wouldn't leave kudos, if that makes sense.)

I think this is really awesome of you! I personally super appreciated your comments on my vids -- I could tell they were well thought out and you made an effort to say something specific about each vid (not to say other kinds of comments aren't great, too, but detailed feedback is so rare and received with open arms). :)
