Firefly Screencaps

My Swannee's Place site has been re-designed to include all my fanvids as well as a new screencap gallery. I'm in the process of migrating all my caps to the new gallery. Eventually, the old galleries will be taken down.

But... I bring a whole new gallery as compensation for any problems. :)
Firefly Gallery - because the world can ALWAYS use more Firefly. ;)

You so need to explain how you got coppermine to work oh wise one. I've read so many tutorials and all I see is blah, blah, blah...

I could probably do that. Especially considering I'm having to re-do it on a new server now. *headdesk*

Step #1) Make sure you have a hosting company that's willing to let you upgrade if you have gobs of caps like I do. Anyway, I ranted about that last night in my LJ.... never mind, ignore me.

I basically followed this: http://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/quickstart.htm#about
and watched this: http://coppermine-gallery.net/tutorial/download.php

The hardest part was determining what things my hosting people offered. Do you have a hosted site or are you just thinking of getting one?

Coppermine is a bit clunky in spots, and I'm not enough of a php or css coder to fiddle with it a whole lot. I was tempted by this one: http://www.zenphoto.org/ because if you host with dreamhost, they will install it for you. They also have ready built plug-ins for http://gallery.menalto.com/, but by the time I discovered it, I had already taught myself Coppermine.

I'm a template girl, so I'll have to read through your links and try to figure it out. I think my problem is I don't know the lingo because I don't have anywhere to look at because the site I have is for dumb people. But thanks for the links.
